Distribute runners’ packets and t-shirts at Run-On Dallas - 5400 E Mockingbird #114 - 214-821-0909
We need 4 volunteers for each of the following shifts:
Wednesday, October 29 - 10 am-1 pm, 1 pm-4 pm, 4 pm-7 pm
Thursday, October 30 - 10 am-1 pm, 1 pm-4 pm, 4 pm-7 pm
Friday, October 31 - 10 am-1 pm, 1 pm-4 pm, 4 pm-7 pm
Saturday, November 1 - 10 am-2 pm, 2 pm-6 pm
We are flexible on shift hours so if you want to help but could only help from 5-7 pm rather than 4-7 pm, that's okay, just let us know when you contact us.
Race Area Set-up on Saturday, November 1
Set up tables and signs in administration, bag drop, and volunteer areas. Unload and sort club merchandise for sale on race day. Unpack finisher medals from boxes and individual packaging. Unload fruit from the transport truck that picked it up from the grocery store.
6 volunteers needed for about 3 hours. Hours that day aren't set in stone but about 10 - 2 pm.
Volunteers: 10 (most can be race participants as this is a pre-race job only)
Time Commitment: Max of 2 1/2 hours
Role: Distribute runners’ packets and t-shirts
Volunteers: 20 (most can be race participants as this is a pre-race job only)
Time Commitment: Max of 2 hours
Role: Distribute chips to participants.
Volunteers: 15
Time Commitment: Max of 4 hours
Role: Assigned a designated area to monitor along the course to keep safe for the runners and keep the runners on the course. Keep the running area clear of pedestrians, spectators, cars, etc. Enjoy yourself and cheer on the runners as they go by! In case of an emergency, course monitors contact the ambulance. For runners unable to finish the course, course monitors help contact the SAG Wagon which will pick up the runner.

Time Commitment: Max of 2 1/2 hours
Role: Regulate volunteer parking so race participants don't park in those parking lots. Direct participants from the DART light rail trains onto the shuttles that run to the race site.
Volunteers: 4 (preferably at least 2 of these volunteers have an SUV)
Time Commitment: Max of 5 hours
Role: Communicate to ambulance and pick up runners who can’t finish. A well-marked SAG Wagon will also assure runners they are on the right course.
Volunteers: 20
Time Commitment: Depends on what mile marker you are stationed at. Max of 4 hours
Role: Call out splits along the course.
Volunteers: 15
Roles: Bag Check, Administration, Merchandise, etc.
Volunteers: 5
Roles: Post-Race Food, Bag Check, Finish Line, etc.
Volunteers: 25
Roles: Awards, Bag Check, Finish Line, etc.
Volunteers: 32
Roles: Finish Line, Post-Race Food, Administration, etc.

Time Commitment: Max of 5 1/2 hours
Role: Deliver needed supplies. Serve as the race's liaison for the aid station you are assigned to and help those volunteers succeed at makng the aid station a success. Make sure each station is prepared to handle necessary traffic.
